A Lament for Demeter

Written by: Wilderness Apprentice Jamethiel Windsong, Snarer of Souls

Addressed to: Everyone

The forests you have left
without me; sorrow for
my loss, pain in my heart.
Do not forget me now.

Nor for all eternity. Into
here my mind, I still walk
the forests we both swear to protect.
I believe these things for

Our souls, bound both to nature,
but do you understand? Are you
Confused by my mortal
speech. Shall you never

Return to me the breath of
the Earth, the comfort of your bosom.
Hold me, feel with me now, return!
Walk with us, once again.

Sleep well
but not long.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Daedalan, in the year 365 AF.
