On Nature .IV.

Written by: Sapling Yaluna, Ward of the Oak
Date: Monday, January 19th, 2004
Addressed to: Everyone

'ere I sit in the misty wood,
the depth of age,
of what once stood
a simple polarity
of my body, and theirs
a youth, a sage,
complimentary pair
but what lies inside,
my heart and my pride
nature and I
never denied
mortality is brief
a whisper amongst leaves
and nature is more
than just evergreen trees
a trickle, my blood
a wind, exhalation
the fire of passion
earthy determination
i will leave this realm
as i entered the call
the eternal motion
of nature's cycle
until then i will serve
remember, and observe
my roots and my hopes
a road with many curves

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Lupar, in the year 354 AF.
