talking to yourself

does my face scare you?
I've lost my name
but you still recognize

am I the eyes that follow
your every move as if
everything you saw was me?

am I black like the feathers
on the wing of a dead bird
that falls down at your feet
and says you murdered me?

am I love the that you dream of
night after night, but you
know is too far away to have?

am I the man on the trains who
dresses so differently that
you suspect he is me in disguise?

am I the person you've been looking for?
the teacher who knows more than you can bear
or am I just a name that you've lost
and was never even there?

am I asking you these questions
in hope to find that name and myself?
or am I just talking to myself?

-Ydachikachishiroul Azon

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Mayan, in the year 326 AF.
