The beginning of Year 550 is still calculated for 6am GMT on Monday,
October 11 (that's 11pm Sunday PST, and 2am Monday EST)! Be sure to log
in at the start of the year for a treasure hunt: dozens of giftbags will
be scattered across the realms, with surprise contents from gold to
commodities to herbs to minor artefacts. A few lucky treasure hunters
will find greater artefacts within their giftbags. Also at the start of
the year, the Year 550 Lottery and the land auction will open. See
