Year 500

Five hundred years ago saw the ignominious end of the once-shining
Seleucarian Empire, an empire stained black with misdeeds and
corruption. Aided by the Sentaari monks within the capital city, the
Sapient League stormed the palace, rendering Emperor Polymedes and the
last of the imperial line to mere spatters of blood and shattered bone.
It was no glorious battle, this, but a grim tableau of necessity and
desperation.

We celebrate the quincentennial anniversary of the fall of the
Seleucarian Empire and the rise of the Modern Age in honour of the
Sapient League, the men and women who gave their lives to free the
people of Sapience from the Empire's horrors. Yet, we also celebrate in
tribute to the Seleucarian Empire, founded originally on brave and noble
principles by divinely blessed Nicator, a man who made his dream
reality. In the midst of your festivities, remember well the Sapient
League, and remember Nicator. Honour them.

Penned by My hand on the 19th of Sarapin, in the year 500 AF.
