The quincentennial anniversary of the fall of the Seleucarian empire
rapidly approaches! On January 22nd, we enter the 500th year After the
Fall in Achaea, celebrating the victory of the Sapient League over the
corrupt and degenerated Imperium. For further historical information on
the importance of this anniversary, please see HELP YEAR 200.

The highlight of the festivities are the traditional Championship Games,
tests of wit, might, and endurance to determine the next wielder of the
legendary Staff of Nicator, once bestowed upon Nicator by Sarapis, the
Logos and currently held by Jaizsur Ta'sa, who claimed the prize with a
stunning victory in the Year 450 Championship Games. The Games include a
Quiz, an experience contest, a combat tourney, and more, all occurring
during Year 500. A special awards ceremony will be held at the
conclusion of the Games, where I will personally oversee the passing of
the Staff to the next Champion.

Credit rewards will be plentiful, with prizes for the top ten in each of
the Games. Furthermore, the Champion will win, in addition to the Staff
of Nicator, the choice of a cash prize of $700 USD OR 2500 credits! In
addition, during Year 500 there will be many other games, contests, and
festivities, including the Year 500 Lottery for which the grand prize is
the choice of $500 USD in cash OR 2000 credits.
