You do make some intelligent, though incorrect, assessments.

One of your first mistakes as a Church member is your view of
what the Church is. If you are a Church member, you do indeed
have enemies, for Evil is most definitely an enemy of Good.
The Church is a force for Good, and the ultimate goal of the
Church is to actively and without apology seek to end Evil,
and those who would harm the innocent, the neutral, and the
weak. The Church accepts all into their rankings, and they do
show infinite mercy and forgiveness. We do not, however, allow
those who continue to practice evil, as you seem to believe we
should do.

Your view of Ashtan as being a city of forgiveness and compas-
sion is incorrect, as any ranking citizen will likely tell you.
It is a city patroned by Sartan, and it is thus especially de-
serving of the City of Evil title. Any claims otherwise are
just recruiting propaganda. All in Ashtan are not evil, but all
who remain there become just as bad as the rest. This, however,
does not make them worthy of death.

Enslaving your angel and using the powers to go against her na-
ture, though, is. You were killed because you had taken up with
those who are evil and had taken steps to oppose the Church.

It's quite simple, really. I pray you will someday return, ready
to take your responsibility as a member of the Church seriously.
I foresee that most in Ashtan will see the behaviour you dis-
played as a Church member replicated. They bring only weakness
to themselves, harboring you with your current actions.
