Firstly I agree speedwalks are very cheesy and depreciate the value of
teleportation abilities. I'm sure that situation could easily be rectified
by a tiredness/out-of-breath system or something along those lines if you
chose to.

As for a safe haven I really don't have much of an opinion to express other
than if I want a break I go somewhere totally obscure, and if someome
hostile should happen to find me then I kill them. I think being ambushed
while having lessons at Epicurus (and then killing both your ambushers -
mentioning no names) is all part of the spice of life and I think it would
be a pity to see it totally removed.
