Here is a post that Drugan wrote to the Paladins. The basic gist is that he is hurt that other Paladins have been picking on him for "talking funny", which is, of course, simply part of his role, and it's pathetic that some people can't recognize that and appreciate it.

I should point out that the way he got treated by some (generally newbie) Paladins probably isn't unique, and that I would, unfortunately, assume that many guilds would react like this to him.

Hello Paladin new-friends,

Drugan not can't write very well but Drugan want to say that Momma is very
happy for Drugan to be finally a Paladin. Drugan very happy 'bout it too.
Drugan work hard to be goodest Paladin he can. Drugan say his "oats" to Kyasha
to be good and Smash & Slash Evil Bad-things and Help friends. Drugan try to
do that whenever Drugan can. Momma always say Drugan was good helper. Drugan
help milk cows and carry sheep, and smash wood for fire, and stop foxes try
hurt the chickens. Drugan now happy to smash & slash bad things and people
who try and hurt good things.

Drugan sometimes get little confused still though and have some questions...
Momma always says it is only a fool who never ask questions and Drugan not want
to be a fool so Durgan will ask.

1) Drugan have good experience with many new paladin friends. Desert-man
Verlaine helped Drugan from start be good Paladin and good-crazy Zaklin Friend
help Drugna very much too. But some paladin say mean things to Drugan and make
fun of Drugan like say, "Drugan talk crazy" and "Drugan is stupid!" and
"Drugan, talk right or I will kill you!" This make Drugan feel like he at
home... home in Drugan's village square where bad bullies make fun of Drugan
and tease him. This one reason why Drugan leave his home to come here and be
Paladin - try to make something gooder of himself and not always be called
bad-mouth names. Momma say you can see a person's soul with your ears by
listen to thier mouths. Drugan's ears tell him some paladin persons souls not
very clean. Drugan confused by some the things He hear. Drugan not thought
Paladin friends say those things. Drugan hope paladins not think that okay.

2) Drugan like to help. Drugan would like to have help Paladin Caerid in his
contest.. but Drugan confused. If Paladin not be off Probation untill he get
to be a gooder Paladin 20 times... (#639) and Probate like Drugan was not can't
read paladin news until not Probate anymore... and Contest for level 21 and
under (#633)... how probates gonna know 'bout contest before they been gooder
Paladin 21 times? Hmmmm Drugan not good at math much - maybe Drugan remeber
numbers wrong...

3) Drugan like to get some metal clothing. Paladin friends called it grasson
a plate.. or somthing.. now not grass *think* *think* uhh... metal in field...
field.. FIELD on a plate! That what Drugan try and find! A Fieldplate metal
clothes! Drugan help Shallam get rid of LOTS of rats and Drugan got many 100's
of Golds! Drugan got... well hmmm.. Drugan have hard time to count more than
100 but Drugan have 100 plus zero and zero... look like 10000...Drugan get more
gold if need to. But Drugan have ask somebody make him fieldplate.

4) Finally, Drugan get fery confused when have to smash & slash bad people.
Drugan not know what to do - it not like smash foxes and rats.. so anyone who
help Drugan - Drugan very much like that... And drugan try to give smarts to
any palading need to know what Drugan know too. Drugan give them special gum
that make Drugan's head tickle!

Drugan hope to be paladin long time and bee good for smashing and slashing and
helping and getting gooder so momma be proud of Drugan.
