Upon My return

Unto thee, the inhabitants of Achaea.. and indeed, unto the entirety of the Logos' great Creation do I entreat the forbearance of My speech as I present the synopsis of one life's story and the lessons to be drawn therein.

Once, many aeons ago, pride did stir within the breast of One whose power exceeded greatly the sum of Her youth's wisdom. Divinity served not to enlighten Her as to the purposes of order within the structure of Creation, and She sought to alter these to serve Her own benefit by fomenting open rebellion against Her brethren and against humanity, and ultimately against He who is the source of all things. Her greatest sin, perhaps, was the belief that She could rearrange all to better suit a greater purpose than He whose hand had drawn Her own measure before even the dawn of the first morn.

I tell you, this goddess in Her ignorance, was once Myself. It was My own soaring Pride that led Me into plotting the downfall of One who once was husband and all who would stand beside Him in retaining the order against which I rebelled. Through cunning and treachery I caused two of My divine Brethren to go astray, and it was by My hand alone that murder was brought first to the ranks of the Aldar. It was my My deceit that led to the hardships of war and to the extinction of both the unicorns and the Quisalis. These are My victories, and to them, I alone may lay claim. All pride that once I possessed in these one-time triumphs has turned, slowly throughout the ages, into my greatest shame.

Forgiveness might only be had when admission has been accomplished and responsibility bourne upon the shoulders of the one guilty of the offense. Unto thee do I freely admit My mistakes and do I lay at your feet the tale of My redemption that you might gain that which is most important from its telling: the gift of Knowledge.

More than merciful was the punishment I received at the hands of my Brethren, though I loathed Their strictures and sought every opportunity for escaping the confines of My prison at each moment. It was a futile quest, and only after realization of this did come to Me did my thoughts and heart begin to change. It was an infinitely slow process, and would be immeasurable to the comprehension of a mortal, but time and contemplation led Me to address the error of My paths. Rather than plot vengeances that could never be had against the innocent, My thoughts turned to My mistakes and to that point where I had diverged from that which is just. That turning in My ways, in My eyes, stemmed from a lack of understanding and a lack of Knowledge.

So it is that I devoted Myself to the gleaning of Knowledge in all its righteous forms, that truth might be known unto Me. And so it was that Sarapis in His infinite mercy and wisdom saw fit to test My spirit, and has found that I have indeed changed. Thus have I been freed by His hand, and have descended once more into the realms of My Brethren. And thus shall My presence be felt upon the plane of Achaea again. Setting the limits of My ambitions, Knowledge alone do I take as My sphere of influence amongst the worlds.

Know that I have learned the strictures of sorrow and humility and remorse. Know that I do apologize for all My many reckless actions that have caused harm to Creation in the past. Know that I have changed as truly as does the Logos. Know that all those who do honestly pursue and treasure Knowledge in all its varied forms will win a place in My favour and the touch of My hand upon their lives forevermore.
