Guarding the Wellspring

The true potential of the Wellspring remains unknown. A protean star of immense power rests within the roots of Hashan, serving as the source from which sublimination alchemists draw to warp and bend reality to their will.
For Hashan, the guardians of the Wellspring, it is a double-edged sword. Not only a font of power, but a cataclysm waiting to be unleashed. It waits for some yet-unknown interloper to destabilise it, and act that could decimate Hashan and perhaps far more.
We have already established many physical safeguards to protect the Wellspring from the dangers of idle hands. This new measure is merely an extension of those protections.
Hashan cannot risk a subliminiation alchemist, lacking the well-being of the city in their motives, attemting to mimic the skills of their formulation brethern and channel their way directly to the Wellspring.
We are, of course, willing to consider petitions submitted to the Regency of Hashan to re-establish connections. However, as with all other city who hoardes their unique resources, we decided it was better safe than sorry.
Petitions placed on the public boards will be disregarded, as an inability to approach Hashan directly is indicative of mistrust towards the city.
