Your tokens of 'esteem', as you put them.

I'll wear both the lengthy truedisfavour and the much briefer blessing
of the race of maggot with the utmost of pride. Perhaps you think both
to be a punishment but I'll be wearing at least the first, as it still
remains as the highest badge of honour for the next seven months.
And just for the record, I'm fairly certain the insult you quoted to me
is not what I would say. Personally, if I must extend the energy for
'insults' I like to have them be slightly better than just
'whore-follower'. But then again, I could be mistaken in having said
that - and if not, who am I as a mere mortal to disagree with the
feelings of a Goddess towards her order?
My only real question is why your own didn't bother to do something if I
insulted them so deeply those...oh, what was it? Two or three years ago
now? I leave the city of Ashtan often enough for those who don't grace
its citizenship to have attempted claiming revenge, and for those who do
call Ashtan their home, it is a simple matter of demanding a bloodfeud.
I'd think with all of your order members activities, they could have
afforded the paltry sum of gold the rules demand rather than waiting for
Mother dearest to do things for them.
But, I suppose that in regards to predictability those people and
perhaps others will be given that chance now, and perhaps even take it.
It doesn't really matter in the end. As you were so kind to bless me,
I'll return the favour by wishing you two things. May you gain both the
thick skin of mortals who can take less than pleasant words directed
towards them, and the apathy of Divine who do not let the words of
beings they consider to be beneath them affect them so.
In Mischief and Mirth,
Chesire.
