Eternal Spring

Once upon a time, Spring bloomed
The rivers flowed, streams of joy
The birds chirped, sweet song
Golden sunshine, filled my world
Every night, a full moon swirled

Then winter struck, chilling to bone
The rivers froze, glacial tears
The birds, their songs eulogy
The sunshine faded to gray
The night, a dark moonless fray

Aeons passed, frozen away
Wandering loveless endless worlds
Aching, searching, shore to shore
Angel in black, reached my heart
Taught me what love is again

Now spring blooms, another time
Icy glaciers feed rivers of joy
The birds their songs honeyed again
You my love are my eternal spring
Even words fail me, my soulmate

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Lupar, in the year 894 AF.
