Broken Mirrors

One by one, I watched them fall:
Like silvered petals of shattered glass,
An incomprehensible mosaic
Scattered across leagues
of Time and Space.

Once, I danced across the distance,
My steps soft, yet sure
Made light with the certainty
That you were simply
out of sight.

As days whirled into centuries
I danced upon the shards
Sanguine blossoms trailing in my wake
Strewn across illusions dispelled
Like bloostained petals of shattered dreams.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Ero, in the year 894 AF.
