Year 1000!

Hi folks!
With the unveiling of Proteus' memory and Lorielan's (grudgingly requested...) conjuring of the whirlpool of whispers, this officially brings the Year 1000 celebrations to a close...
... for now.
The whirlpool of whispers is the precursor to a new feature in the works that I cannot reveal much about yet, but I strongly recommend paying it a visit in the Seleucar ruins and doing what it asks. I may or may not drop some hints in the very near future as to its purpose!
Over the past two months I have been completely bowled over by the overwhelming positive feedback that we've received about all the events, the lore reveals, bazaars, the memory system, and pretty much everything to do with Year 1000. On behalf of the team I want to offer a tremendous thanks for coming along for the ride - this was a true labour of love from myself and all the Garden and nothing gives us greater joy than watching people find things hidden in the game and have the lightbulb moment when a piece of obscure lore suddenly clicks into place.
Everyone who reconciled a memory at least once throughout the festivities has received an honours line for their efforts! The contests and lotteries will be closing in a few hours and I will be drawing the lottery and judging the contests later in the week.
Looking ahead: after a hopefully chill week to unwind and catch up a bit, the Staff Games begin next Sunday (see UPCOMING). We'll have a few more updates to various bugs / mechanical systems in the coming days to announce, largely things that are already known about (e.g removing the no-starburst effect in the Underworld at the request of numerous potential contenders).
Lastly I'd also like to offer a genuinely tremendous thanks and surge of gratitude to the entire Garden team. I cannot overstate how amazing they have all been throughout this mountain of content and every one of them deserves your esteem, not only for putting in absurd amounts of work but for also dealing with my never ending demands, requests, and suggestions throughout.
Huzzah!
