As some of you know, I've been keeping a close eye on the recent Icon
warfare and the discussions that have resulted on the Forums. The
initial Icon combat design was meant to start out simple and adjusted
and deepened as necessary. There will indeed be some substantial changes
coming soon, including the ability to capture an Icon instead of
destroying it, connection of all the Icon areas on Nishnatoba, a few
high-cost strategic 'warpowers' invokable by Icons, and more.

I wish to make it clear that these changes are not being made to assist
or hamper any particular side. Nor do I mean to imply by these changes
that the recent victories of Mhaldor in Icon warfare were due to
systematic faults now being addressed; I watched those battles very
closely from both sides, and they certainly earned those victories
through their own excellent coordination and skills. The aim of these
upcoming changes are to make Icon warfare more interesting for both
sides, and I think they will.

A few changes already in:
- gaining entry into Nishnatoba via the Shadow Icon is now quicker -
lowered from 30 seconds to 10.
- infamy gain in Nishnatoba - no longer should happen.
- graced people following others into or otherwise gaining entry to
Nishnatoba - will get kicked out.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Chronos, in the year 420 AF.
