(See also HELP EMOTION LIST, HELP EMOTICONS, HELP EMOTING) Emotions are a shorthand way of expressing various emotions with one or two words. Generally, these emotions will be seen by everyone in the same location as you. There are hundreds of emotes, and more being added whenever an adventurer suggests a good one. An example of an emote would be SMILE, to smile (unsurprisingly) or SALUTE. Most emotes may be directed at someone too. So you could, for example, POKE MISTRAL to poke Mistral, or HANDSHAKE DEMETRIOS (guess what that does). Emotions run the gamut from the mundane to the sometimes silly. Some adventurers delight in trying to discover new ones. If Valnurana were to type FLUTTER THOTH, then Valnurana would see: You flutter your eyelashes charmingly at Thoth. Thoth would see: Valnurana flutters her eyelashes charmingly at you. Onlookers would see: Valnurana flutters her eyelashes charmingly at Thoth. A partial list of emotions may be found in HELP EMOTIONLIST. To make chosing your emotes a bit easier try SHOWEMOTE <emote>. Information on how to send out custom emotes you create yourself can be found in HELP EMOTING. Tagged emotes like *grin* or *laughs mockingly* are considered an OOC device. Please do not use them in any method of communication where staying in-character is required. (See HELP CHANNELS.) (See also HELP EMOTION LIST, HELP EMOTICONS, HELP EMOTING)
