It has come to my attention, that there has been letters being sent to many individuals across Sapience, detailng that I have failed my duty to protect my kin as Hand of Lord Phaestus.
I feel that I need to preface this by saying that it is the duty and responsibility of my Lord's Hand to always have the best interests of His children at heart. If the allegations I, and some of you, have been receiving were true, we'd be responding.
For over a year, I have been receiving letters from an anonymous individual pretending to be a kidnapped dwarf from the Siroccian Mountain Settlement. He was allegedly writing from the captivity of Gorblatt, Orc Chieftain of the Siroccian Mountains and arch-enemy of the Siroccian Mountain Clan.
Initially, I took this letter seriously, and alongside my fellow Chosen, went to speak with Adalgar, Chieftain of that Clan to see if he had been informed and what he could tell us of Orc movements that had led to this. Adalgar responded that the individuals listed in the letter were fictional, and if they had existed in his village, he'd have known about it. His final statement on the matter was that someone was "pulling my leg".
As a result, we slaughtered the Orc camp, found nothing, and wrote off this false plea as exactly that, false.
Many months later I received more letters, finally one accompanying the others stating, and I quote, "Annoyed yet?".
Now whoever this jokester is, has elected to send letters to others when he didn't get a reaction from us, pretending to be of this group and presenting further nonsense.
Sapience, please, destroy these letters, and don't give them the time of day.
Whoever is sending them is a poor example of a jester, coward who hides behind anonymous letters, and fool who thinks my kin don't speak. Yes you have become a nuisance, and someday you will be revealed, until then, go back to the shadows and hide like the vermin you are.
