Having talked to both sides of this affair, let me assure You, Lady
Pandora, that the health of Darkenwood is the furthest thing from both
of these groups minds. Working out an agreement? Thats just so they can
talk the talk on public and play the martyr card with their followers.
On one side you have a group that can't stand the fact that Darkness
holds sway in a forest on any level. It repulses them and they wish to
completely purge the forest of this blight. On the other hand you have a
group that feels that as Darkness created the wood, it should have sole
say in what happens there. One would think this problem would be easily
solved. How hard is it for the Order of Darkness to lift the harvesting
ban and recognize Oakstone law in its totality in Darkenwood in exchange
for ONE wormhole to a room called "Twilight's Grove" and Oakstone
formally recognizing Darkenwood as a holy place for Twilight and His
followers extending all protection of the forests to His shrines in the
wood? But comprimise isn't what this is about. Its about creating strife
or about "Saving a wood from Darkness". I've watched both sides use the
law of the lands to their advantage over this. Yes the wormhole to
Sharbreena broke Oakstone law. But was it really removed just on a
random patrol after sitting there for a couple of decades? And on the
same token the other wormholes were placed there to use Hashan law in
this matter.

My suggestion? Gather everyone who feels they have the best interest of
the wood together in Darkenwood under the auspices of working it all
out, and blow the place up. I'm sure the spirit of Darkenwood is about
ready to hang herself as is over this petty bickering. Not that anyone
involved in the matter has thought one moment over her or actually cared
for the actual health of the forest. That seems to be lost under who
owns it.
