Your proposal

I am not speaking for Oakstone, but as one familiar with the issues
at hand I have read your proposal, and have responded to each
point not with corrections, but with commendations. I have also
taken the liberty of summarizing your proposal at the end, so as
to make a more concise version of it available. I must say that
I am glad to hear much of what you are proposing, and would like
to thank you for making this offer.

The druids and sentinels are welcome to help maintain the health of the
Darkenwood by patrolling for forest fires, extermination, and severe
overharvesting.

I understand that the various actions that are harmful to a Forest
can be difficult to list off without missing any, but if by that
partial list you meant all things harmful to a Forest, rest assured
that the Druids and Sentinels will be acting with the Forest's
protection as the first priority.

The temple is recognized as the sacred grounds of Lord Twilight. Only
His childer can imprint there, with His permission. Only His childer can
harvest there, with His permission. Any other being of the forest must
secure His divine permission before utilizing the gifts of the Wood,
shaped in His image by His hand.

You will be pleased to learn that Oakstone has never had any quarrel
with what you choose to do in your Temple, they are only concerned
with the Darkenwood, which is located next to the Temple grounds.

Because the Forest is a sacred ground, the Order of Darkness reserves
the right to protect it using such means as totems.

The protection of any Forest is a noble goal indeed. I am sure you
will be glad to learn that totems tuned against Oakstone enemies are
permitted in any Forest without any permission required. Oakstone
brands those who harm any Forests as enemies, so these totems tuned
in that manner would be an excellent way to protect the Darkenwood.

Because the forest is a sacred ground, any damage done to it by outside
forces will result in enemying, fines, and/or death, depending on the
offense.

I am very happy that you wish to aid in bringing justice to those who
would harm a Forest. I am sure that Oakstone will be happy to keep
you informed on the current list of Forest enemies, so that you will
always know who it is that has been harming Forests.

As a gesture of courtesy towards Oakstone, and in gratitude to the part
played by the forest folk in the creation of the wood, the Dark Forest
Dwellers will abide by the harvesting laws of Oakstone, agreeing to pay
any fines for overharvesting, as well as participating in the replanting
and maintenance of the Wood.

The offer to participate in the replanting of the Wood is one that I
am certain will be happily accepted. The promise to continue to pay
fines for overharvesting as has already been happening is also a
welcome statement of good faith.

Any concerns of Oakstone as to the health and state of the Darkenwood is
to be looked into by a committee composed of Dark guardians and
representatives of Oakstone. Upon review, the decision reached would be
acted upon by the combined parties as per the best interest of the
Darkenwood.

I am sure that any input from the Darkwalkers would be welcome as
Oakstone looks in to the health of the Darkenwood. Since the best
interest of any Forest is the best interest of Oakstone, your offer
to assist in helping to act out whatever is found to be the best option
is very kind.

Any wormholes and other methods of transportation placed within the Wood
by the children of Darkness for the purposes of pilgrimages to our holy
temples will be preserved. Cancellation and/or other methods of
destruction will be viewed as attempts to impinge on our religious
practice, and punished accordingly.

Oakstone law does not restrict wormholes placed outside of Forests,
so you are welcome to place them in the many caves and buildings as
you see fit. If you wish to place wormholes inside of Forests, it
is possible with the unanimous consent of the Hierophant council in
conjunction with the High Fion.

These terms have been painstakingly derived to insure the protection of
both interested parties. This is an official presentation of terms to
Oakstone.

Although I am not speaking for Oakstone, I am glad that the two parties
involved seem to be seeing eye to eye. Your proposal sounds as if it
should have no trouble coming to agreement. I will summarize your
proposal so that it can be in simple, clear terms.

1. The Druids and Sentinels will not be interfered with as they
maintain the health of the Darkenwood.

2. Oakstone will continue, as it has, to remain uninvolved with Lord
Twilight's Temple. Oakstone's concern is with Forests, so it will
only be involved with the Darkenwood, not the Temple of Twilight
that is next to the Darkenwood.

3. The Order of Darkness may choose to, following Oakstone law,
implant totems for the protection of the Darkenwood.

4. The Order of Darkness will oppose those who harm the Darkenwood.

5. Dark Forest dwellers will continue to abide by Oakstone's
harvesting laws and pay the proper fines should any violation
occur.

6. Followers of Twilight will help give input in to the
investigation of the health of the Darkenwood, and will aid in
acting in the best interests of the Forest.

7. Followers of Twilight may choose to, following Oakstone law,
place wormholes within the Darkenwood.

Overall, I find this to be a very fair proposal.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Aeguary, in the year 310 AF.
