Sigh.

Everytime some fool brings this subject back to the boards I find myself
beating my head against the stone wall of my Masoleum home. I simply do
not understand why Covenant can't just let Father Twilight have what is
His, and admit the fact that indeed the Darkenwood is NOT being
mistreated. We water our herbs and plants, damn it, leave it alone! No,
the Darkenwood is not all happy and green and shiny, because it is not a
normal Forest. It thrives on Darkness, not on sunlight. Therefore, it
SHOULD look different. We don't sit there and slooooowly pick the leaves
off the poor defenseless plants, we USE them like every other person. We
tend to the plants, we keep them healthy and safe from harm, and we
thank the essence that makes them grow like any other organization who
cares for something. We are not incapable of protecting that which is
ours. Were we harming the Forest, we would expect to hear from Oakstone
on the matter. However, I don't believe Oakstone thinks we're harming
anything.
Honestly, I get so sick of hearing about this topic that I want to fling
myself off a cliff everytime someone brings it back up. Let it REST.
-We- are taking care of it. -You- don't need to. The Forest doesn't need
to be saved, because it is not in danger of anything, except of being
destroyed by those who seek to harm my Father's essence by defiling His
Shrines. There's a smart thing for you, they destroy the shrines
thinking that they're hurting Lord Twilight, when all they're doing is
hurting His essence, which is what the Darkenwood thrives off of,
therefore they're really just hurting the very thing they think they're
trying to protect. Am I the only one who sees the irony? Sentinels,
Druids, Oakstone, and whoever else is concerned, listen to me: We are
not harming the Forest. It is in good hands. Your desire to help, while
it may be appreciated, is not needed. We know how to care for that which
is ours. Let us do our job, and we'll let you do yours. Respect is a
two-way street.
Some people understand, some people do not. And some people, simply need
to learn.
