As it happens, the Dark Father is quite capable of maintaining
vegetation of his own choosing. The flora of the Darkenwood has
populated His gardens for well over a century, and I can assure you they
are still as lovely and lively as ever. If anyone wishes to ascertain
this fact they've merely to drop by the temple copmplex and negotiate
the terms of visit with our most excellent gardener, the shadow demon.
