When the mother passes away, it is customary for the father to take full
custody of the child. So take that metaphor and run to the abyss with
it.

I don't care what any non-Dark Sentinel (or for that matter Druid)
thinks about the nature of the Wood.

The Darkenwood is on the grounds of the Holy temple of Lord Twilight. It
is the part of the temple located on the mortal plane, as opposed to the
removed shadow realm where the high mysteries are kept. But that does
not make the Wood any less of a sanctity or holy place for Darkness.

It is not your playground. It is not your forest. It makes the Black
Forest seem like a sunny glen, for its soul is Darkness and so is its
nature.

Leave the Wood to its proper owners, and be thankful that you are yet
able to enter it at all. Whatever YOU may think, the Wood is the care of
the Order of Darkness by the will of Lord Twilight Trismegistus, our
Holy Father.

Time and time again Oakstone and forest affiliates have tried to lay
claim to the Wood. Time and time again we have stood up and told you to
go back to your forests which are undenianbly yours to govern. I do not
take the forests for granted. I do not take the Aureliana or the Black
Forest as mine or my order's. Have some respect for once and do not make
such a ludicrous claim on that which will never be yours.

We have attempted to reason. I cannot see any rationality behind these
growing claims, beyond an unreasonable wish to maintain what is already
Sapience's greatest monopoly. I respect Oakstone's laws. Respect ours.

This is not meant as an argument. There is nothing to argue, unless you
are fond of discussing if blue is really blue. Because the Darkenwood
really IS Dark, and it is in the care, custody, and upkeep of the
Children of Darkness. If you want to pick a fight with Us as has been
the fashion for centuries, find a better way to do it.
