Chaos and the Church

This should be one of my shorter posts--notice I say `should`, I tend to
babble--as my point is clear and decisive.

It has always confused me as to why the Church and members of the Church
(lovingly dubbed `Churchies`) publicly blast anything that is even in
the slightest way deceitful or misleading purposely. It is no secret
that the totems in their Basilica are tuned against members of the
Divine Order of my Father Twilight and the Divine DisOrder of the Matron
Lady Eris. This horribly scars the facade that the Church is holy and
kind, as would they not embrace all populations of Sapience, regardless
of their religion, if said populations desired to journey to their
Basilica in order to learn more of their ways? Indeed, what this action
says is, "We embrace all populations--except those that are Evil and
deceitful and misleading, no matter what they need or want." Is this not
in itself deceitful? Is it not lies?

I suppose someone of the Church will answer, "We never said we embraced
all populations of Sapience." Oh yes. I forgot. The Church doesn't stand
for the values and ethics that it probably should. It outcasts members
who try and stand for said values and ethics. Hmm. Well then. I suppose
the Church is being rather hypocritical as well. For while they condemn
my Dark brothers and sisters and berate my Chaotic confidants, merely
for being deceitful and misleading (which, by the way, shows they
understand neither concept; Darkness and Chaos are both multi-faceted,
and never represent only one thing), they themselves are coming closer
to Evil than even most Sartanites that I have met. It is funny that they
seem to want to hide so many things...
