Farewell

Written by: Sir Viran Brightguard, Elysian Luminai

Addressed to: Gaia, the Earthmother

My Lady,

I am not one given to writing in this public place, but I wouldst
pen a few words to bid Thee farewell. I do hope that my words
shall express the feelings of many such as myself who be not tied
to Thy forests, but do regard Thee from afar with awe.

Lord Pentharian be my Father, my Teacher and my Guide, but thou art
my Mother as Thou art Mother to all of us. When it be my time to
leave this mortal realm, I do pray that my soul shall reside
forever with Lord Pentharian, but it is Thee that will comfort my
body thereafter. As I do wander these Realms seeking the path of
Righteousness, I cannot help but wonder at Thy noble forests,
Thy verdant pastures, and the many wild flowers Thou didst give
us to bring colour to the lands.

Though Thou art not my Patron, I wouldst have Thee know that I do
hold Thee with special respect for the gifts Thou hast given us.
As Thou dost sacrifice Thyself, I shall miss Thee, and pray that
one day, Thou shalt deign to once more walk these beautiful lands.

In the Name of Light, may Lord Pentharian bless us, and through
Him, may we ever remember that other Deity that didst once grace
us with Her presence.

Sir Viran Brightguard, Knight Paladin of the Elysian Order, Luminai

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Valnuary, in the year 305 AF.
