Teaming, glorious teaming.

My fellow Achaeans,

In an effort to provide some point-counterpoint to Verlaine's post on
teaming, I felt I should throw my two cents in here. I can understand
Verlaine's views, though at the same time, I hold a view that is
completely contrary to his.

You see, I -love- teaming. I love it for many reasons, not the least of
which is the respect that it entails. If I team someone, it's because I
respect their fighting ability. Whether inside or outside of the arena,
there is no greater compliment that could be given to an individual
fighter than to team them.

As to the point that there is nothing to be lost from going one-on-one
in the arena, I wholly disagree. Let me take this opportunity now to
point out to the people of this land just how often the Divine offer
Their favours to the winner of a Free-for-all. I know that Lady Eris and
Lord Aegis do this quite often, in fact, as do many of the other
Immortals. Personally, I have gotten tired of seeing those who are
already quite powerful -always- win those favours. There is little
chance otherwise of securing them without some form of teaming.

So let this be a rallying cry to those of lesser might and zero
artifacts throughout the realm: Get in those freeforalls and TEAM FOR
ALL YOU'RE WORTH! Find a fight in progress and jump in if you like! Team
the strongest person in the arena to ensure that he or she doesn't walk
away with another favour or prize! Let Chaos inhabit the arenas if you
embrace Chaos... let Justice inhabit them if you embrace Justice... let
War inhabit them if you embrace war... but above all, let the arenas
imitate life as Sarapis has created it.

With a long-winded farewell,
