The Maldaathi Knights

Greetings,

Kaelin, I have known you to be a knight. I have seen you stand up for
the honour you live by time and time again, whether you live or die.

I had a conversation recently with a squire of the Maldaathi. I told him
that I've yet to see how Evil and honour can work together, and that I
feel, in my -opinion-, they can't. He agreed completely. He told me that
in following Sartan, he has given up honour, and no longer considers
himself a knight. He told me that, along with his guild mates, he seeks
personal power by being a member of the Maldaathi, and that the guild is
merely a tool to make gaining power easier for him.

I ask you this Kaelin, are the Maldaathi a guild of knights? From what I
gather from this squire, it is leaning more towards "no." But that is
why I ask you. Have you and the other ex-Infernals dropped honour
altogether to obtain personal power? Or have you set up a guild with a
code of honour like one would expect from a knight setting up a knight
guild? I hope it is the latter, because if it isn't, you, nor the rest
of the Maldaathi deserve to call yourselves knights.

Sincerely,
Horatio de Ganis
