Sacrificing myself to the Lord.

Well, I really liked intoning and though I had been quite close to
gaining that power a few times in the past, I never up until the war
with the alliance made it. My initial reaction was, why should I impale
myself on the stalagmite when I can just throw other people onto the
thing? So I did that for awhile but now it really does seem as if this
is helping Lord Sartan so I've decided to join the ranks of the people
sacrificing themselves as this will help Him that much more.
I'm sure that most of sapience is curious as to why we're actually doing
this. Here are my reasons. Though He professes not to care and is
probably telling the truth about that, the truth is that He has treated
me far better then any of the other divine I've served including the
so-called good ones when I was a Paladin. Yes, Miramar cares about
mortals so, that's why she felt it was necessary to torture me for
questioning her. Aegis is a competant patron, that is why He told me
that He wasn't going to promote me in His Order any further because I
had killed too many people.
If you truly devote yourself to the Lord, He rewards you as you deserve,
which is much more then can be said about almost every other
organization I've been in. Take Ashtan for example. I was a citizen
there for about 40 years, served as an Archon and I remember the city
only recently added in their system of courts. So when Deven got done
praying from getting killed by an Infernal, she was in a pissy mood and
outcitizens and enemies me without a trial. Luckily with the help of the
Lord I went back and killed just about everyone in the city at that time
with daemons but it just goes to show me how yet again Sartan is one of
the few people you can trust as an ally if not as an enemy.
I gained the power to intone thanks to the Lord, I used it for the Lord
and now I'll lose it for the Lord. But some day, once He has risen
again, I'll get it back by eating the hearts of all you pathetic
defectors.
