First, let me commend you on your loyalty to your chosen path and
diplomatic efforts in attempting to salvage the dire situation faced by
your fellow followers of the Lord of Evil. To recap, since Sartan has
yet to decree his intent on dealing with the Alliance, His followers
will stand vigilant and wait for His orders. Until then, you have
indicated that Sartan's horde will compile a list of those in the
Alliance who actively protect the Alliance's interests and focus its
efforts only on those individuals.

What you fail to address is the underlying issue which led to the Shrine
Wars--namely, Sartan's sociopathic campaign of defiling shrines
throughout the Land, heedless of consequences. Thus, the Alliance was
born, a diverse coalition of deities drawn together in common cause, to
stop Sartan's crusade against our interests. For years, the Alliance was
poised, hoping just the presence of the allied forces of so many gods
would persuade Sartan to stop his madness. But He did not. And so We now
act.

As a follower of the Lord of Evil, We understand that you are not
ultimately responsible for the desperate predicament you find yourselves
in. We lay that responsibility on Sartan's doorstep. However, as a
follower merely obeying orders, I urge you and your brethren to pledge
not to defile Our shrines, pay us compensation, and you will be forgiven
and protected. But not Sartan. He will be made to answer, and We will
not be stopped. Mortals, do not stand beside Him or you will be faced
with the combined wrath of the Alliance when Our full fury is released.
