Greetings mortals. Glorious times are approaching, and you, the mortals
of Achaea are to be part of it. Far back, in EVENTS post 33 I believe it
was, an alliance was formed against Sartan. My mischievous brother
Sartan had put his soldiers to work defiling the shrines of other Gods,
even those of Myself, his closest ally in the Garden. They never really
achieved any true success, but they did irritate several of Us. Now,
with Sartans troops actively revolting in the streets of Ashtan, and
subverting the work of the Crossing, even to their own detriment, it
seems that the only way to stop this weak charade is to bring the heavy
hand of War down upon their heads.
This is the declaration of war that not only includes the Orders of the
Alliance, but indeed, the Gods of the Garden themselves. The following
Gods have now declared open war on Sartan and his soldiers: Caspian,
Phaestus, Lupus, Aegis, Eris, Agatheis, and Ourania. More are likely to
follow, as Sartan continues to offend Us. Members of Our Orders will
protect with force, each others shrines from defilement during this war.
In the Garden, you can be sure that we are waging the war there as well.
You never know how many stones you can throw at a bee hive and get away
with it, until you no longer get away with it. Sartans time of paying
consequences has come.
Those of you in Sartans employ, you know perfectly well why you are
hunted, and Sartan can not protect you. If you leave safe rooms, you are
a fair target. Sarapis gives you grace for a reason. If you reject it,
you are game. In other words, whining will only bring you more unwanted
attention, so save it.
For those of you who are on the enemy lists of the allied Gods, and wish
to make amends, you can pay 10,000 gold PER God on the list, to one of
the Gods listed. That god will see to it that your gold is distributed
and your name removed from the lists. At the moment, 70,000 gold will
wipe your slate clean, until you defile again. The rest of you who do
not wish to make amends, I salute you. I can not speak for the rest of
the Garden, but I for one am really looking forward to seeing you all on
the battlefields!
You may be asking "What are the terms of victory for the Gods then?"
"When will the alliance stop attacking Sartan?" The answer is not
decided yet, but We are agreed that a simple surrender is not
sufficient. When We have Our pound of flesh, and a few ounces more, We
will consider new options. For now, We have only to punish.
