You made several statements, which were of interest :
1. 'Normally I wouldn't bother responding publically but you and I have
quite a history...'
Do we? I am sorry, I was not aware of any history, save that of my
involvement in Your ousting as Patroness from the Druids after You broke
Sacred and Ancient Druid Law. If this is our 'history', then I do
understand Your special resentment towards me. That would explain the
sudden enemying of me from Your Order after You demanded my Father's
shrines be destroyed by Your followers. Well, I have to say that I
cannot follow Your logic there, but I am of course, mortal.
2. '...and I know from experience that your ears are closed to Me.'
Again, I am unaware of any past time that I have 'closed' my ears to
You. In fact, it's been many years since I've acted in ignorance towards
a God or Goddess. I think the constant death experienced due to past
disrespect cured me in that regard, so I am sorry You have felt ignored.
Perhaps I should have written more often?
I also know, for a fact, that You (as permanent Patroness of my home
city) never asked me my side of the story. I recall one very short
interrogation by Conor, accompanied by Jemarsil. But nothing like a
trial or an attempt to hear what I had to say. And there was one
conversation with Tigrayne, but You have Yourself said that You have
nothing to do with the Caretakers of Nature (ie, the Druids), so I won't
bother You with that.
3. 'I do appreciate your directness, finally, about just exactly what it
is you're so upset about and I assume this latest post is clarification
of your story.'
If 'your story' is referring to the lop-eared bunny story, then it is
true that assumptions are dangerous grounds. I was actually recounting
my own personal experience with Caelan. You see, as I sat in an allied
grove, exhausted from fighting fires (icewyrm really takes the endurance
out of a morpher), Caelan proceeded to attack me 5 times in a row. Twice
he killed me and I was able to escape the other 3 times. I informed him
that I was not even able to keep morph due to too much fire-fighting
exertion. His reply to me was somewhat of a rough scoff and a promise
that I would see the inside of Minia once again. He also set traps, some
of which I am still, today, running into during the worst times. The
only thing symbolic about the story was the bunny. And it was too
obvious for me to even spell out, so I won't.
And we come to possibly, the most interesting thing You said in Your
post :
4. 'I had nothing to do with your problems with Oakstone.'
Interesting is too light of a word. I find it terribly disturbing that
the permanent Patroness of Oakstone had nothing to do with such a
delicate and tumultuous matter. Two faithful Druids, both Secretaries in
a guild devoted in all ways to the preservation and nurture of Nature,
were being accused of aiding in the most heinous and horrid crime
imaginable to the city! Surely You were aware of the situation? And yet
You never questioned either of us...Odd, to say the least.
Knowing how much You love Oakstone, I am left to believe that You were
indeed invovled in the situation and trying very hard to uncover the
truth of the matter, and that You were too busy to ask me what had
happened. Of course, a trial would have been very nice, but I was so
emotionally distraught at the thought that someone thought I would
betray the forests, that I was barely able to speak to anyone. It has
taken me this long to speak about it publically. The wounds went deeper
than I ever thought they could.
5. 'You mention also your problems with the Druids. Well, I really can't
comment on that as I am not the Patron of the Druids.'
I am sorry that You thought I was addressing that issue to You, for I
know that You have no jurisdiction over that Guild. But, I was told by
Tigrayne, that she was forced by Oakstone (You, in particular), to
remove me as Secretary. She was told, as far I was informed, that
enemies of the forest could not be Secretaries in the Druids. Now, I was
enemied with no trial whatsoever, with no chance to defend myself or
refute the claims against me. It all happened within a matter of Achaean
days. And if I had no time to defend myself, then how could I retain my
position as Secretary if an enemy of the forest could not be a
Secretary? Do You see what an awful position that was for me? No trial,
and with no trial I could not remain an 'ally' to Oakstone. If I could
not retain my ally status, then I could not retain my Secretary
position.
I apologize to everyone for the 'dirty laundry', but it seems I will not
be heard otherwise. I have suffered too much at the hands of 'hushed
conversations' in the Glade of Isolation under the scrutiny of the
Invisbles. May your paths lead you to the life that makes your soul
shine and sing,
Violet
