just a story...

There once was a little girl who lived in the forest. She had for her
only companion a small lop-eared bunny. The girl lived in the wood
taking care of all around her as well as she knew how, happily tending
to life.

Now it just so happened that there was a Queen who owned the forest.
This Queen was very angry and bitter and sought to destroy anyone within
her grasp who was happy and who did not swear loyalty to her. And one
day, the Queen's servants reported that the little girl lived in her
forest and was happy.

A huge fire broke out, and the little girl tried her hardest to help
save what land she could, but very soon she was exhausted and had to
rest. While she sat resting, the Queen sent her servant to kill the
girl. The little girl was too tired to escape and so she died at the
hand of the servant.

Not satisfied with the death alone of the girl, the Queen ordered that
the girl's companion, the bunny, be drawn and quartered and hung near
the girl's home. Her wish was obeyed and the bunny was slaughtered and
displayed for all to see.

The girl was granted new life by the Logos and when she returned to her
home, she saw her only companion, bloody and lifeless, hanging from the
tree. And the girl grieved over the loss so much that her eyes forever
flowed with tears and her heart never healed. And if you visit her
forest, it is said you can still hear her little voice weeping, not over
her own death, but over the death of life itself...

Hear and understand.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Scarlatan, in the year 299 AF.
