Response to Change

Greetings to all,

I will also keep this short and to the point. Shallam is grateful in the
ending of this rather trivial and useless war that has gone on for far
too long. However, there are some issues that I would like to address.

Shallam is a city of light and justice. We have tried those who commited
the "crimes" against Hashan. Shallam had unenemied the city leadership
of Hashan for quite some time now, even though Hashan had never granted
such a priviledge. All negotiations had been rather insulting up until a
meeting I had with Drakul fairly recently, in which I felt was an actual
progressive step forward.

However, times do change. As sentient beings of Sapience, we adapt and
evolve, if not for self-comfort then for mere survival. I applaude this
sudden change in pace. The war was, indeed, quite uneventful. Shallam
will still offer compensation to those citizens who were slain in the
incident, but will not reimburse to the point of Hashan's initial
demands for compensation.

Let us pray that this change in events will bring Sapience as a whole
into a new era where logic is used more than other coarse methods.

Lucien Grimsblade, Imithian Healer

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Ero, in the year 298 AF.
