Fires

I just have a few comments about the fires, and since there are a large
number of people from different walks of life that have been intimately
involved in fighting them, I thought it would be best to speak to them
here.

1) You don't have to have dousing or icewyrm to help fight fires. You
can :
a. find/fill buckets
b. be a water/rite/campfire beacon
c. patrol around for more fire and keep your guilds/cities/friends
updated about when you spot fire, where there is a vial-refiller, etc.

2) It is amazing to see all of us come together, putting all differences
aside and working for the good of the lands! Crazy stuff, in a lot of
ways, but great! So perhaps when fire is spotted we can be intelligent
and organized in the way we go about fighting it by :
a. finding the most southern/northern spotted fires and working
north/south in a line so that the fires do not spread and thus nullify
the work you have just done
b. watching more carefully to make sure the room you have just entered
has not been already extinguished before you douse/freeze/flood. Icewyrm
uses an amazing amount of endurance per each freezing, so if I freeze a
room the Grampa Jack just flooded, I have wasted endurance/time/eq, etc.
(This goes for all types of firefighting), or if I douse a room that
Yosi has just doused, I just wasted a bucket of water that I could use
on the next room (and buckets seem to be in short supply) which will
take up more time to refill than it would have for me to look one
second.
c. setting up organized places (set places) as first aid centers, like
the entrances to the wilderness map in the NR/Dardanic Plains could be
spots where rites/campfires/vial-refillers wait, or a lake/sea shore
right next to water so that beacons can all stay together.

Just a few ideas, I'm sure there are more...but I just think if we fight
fires intelligently, we will be more efficient and everyone will
benefit. We won't get tired out so quickly and the fires will be dealt
with more quickly.
