Do the Gods grow? Do the Gods change? Do the Gods mature? Or are We
stagnant and immutable beings doomed to forever be the same? Were We
created perfect? Were We created omniscient? Omnipresent? Omnipotent?
There are many amongst you who would argue the latter... but
surprisingly, I would argue the former... at least in My case. I base
this argument on My personal experiences... Nay, far from being created
perfect... I was created imperfect and I am on the quest for
self-perfection. In short, I am eternally maturing... eternally
growing... eternally changing.
I, like "adults" of the mortal world, have a capacity for true maturity.
I have grown out of My "childhood" experiences without losing My
"childhood's" best traits. I retained the basic emotional strengths of
My "infancy", the stubborn autonomy of My "toddlerhood", the capacity
for wonder, pleasure and playfulness of My "pre-adolescence", the
capacity for affiliation, intellectual curiosity, idealism and passion
of "adolescence." I have incorporated these into a new pattern of
simplicity dominated by "adult" stability, wisdom, knowledge,
sensitivity to My people, responsibility, strength, and purposefulness.
I challenge those of you who do not believe Me to compare the God that I
was... to the God that I am. Read the archives of the past... Therein
you will find a God searching for Himself... at first you will find the
"infant" God, then you will find the "toddler" God... who grows and
matures into the "adolescent" God, until finally you will find the
"adult" God. Compare and contrast My past teachings to My present
teachings.
But have I finished My quest for self-perfection? Will My teachings
change yet again? I leave you, dear mortals, to ponder these questions
in solitude. Mortality is the reflection of Immortality. As I grow and
change, so do you grow and change. Meditate upon these truths when next
you seek Something to strive for... Someone to emulate. As it is written
in one of My Holy Books, "When the ears of a follower are ready to hear,
then cometh the lips of understanding."
