Achaean News
and the city of Shallam he supposedly represents...

I awoke yesterday to a revealation: It was still landmark season!
I decided that I could help my city and my guild best in Shallam. I
figured no one would notice one or two orpahans missing...
I admit, I was naive. Oh ye Gods, how naive I was!
When I was cought in the act, a Shallamite (whom shall remain nameless),
did his duty to Shallam and announced my actions to the city.
I did not necessarily want to be enemied from Shallam, so I naively did
what he said:
"Return NOW!" I was told.
"Ok." I replied.
"You're lying, aren't you!" I heard.
Now, once again being the naive child I was, I was returning to Shallam.
No lie escaped my lips! I had made it to the gates of Ashtan when I
heard the summons to return.
I made it to Western Ithmia, when I met our nameless induvidual (I told
him where I was, how STUPID of me!).
I, still with orphan in tow, did everything he said, even went so far as
to kneel before him! He uttered some prayer to his PAGAN god, and
eventually summoned you, Stee the vigilante.
Now, here so many things happened at once, that I am still trying to
understand them.
I was slaughtered, putting up no resistance, only able to watch in
shock, unable to comprehend why I was killed.
What was even more perplexing was the good thrity seconds it took to
kill me. When I asked you, Stee the vigilante, why it took so long, you
said that you were "playing with me" adn that you could have "killed me
in two seconds" if you wanted to!
Aren't you and your city supposed to be the "good" guys? Not only was I
killed for following your instructions, you reveled in my death! You are
no better than the Evil you profess to be better than.
As I mentioned to the nameless one after my death, and subsequent
ressurection by a friendly Druid (Calhoun, I beleive), surely there was
another resolution, outside of violence.
The act of "enemy"ing me from Shallam was not in effect until next
month! I could have returned the child and enrolled her at the Basilica
myself!
But no! Violence is the only answer in this cruel world! After long
hours of conteplation in a realm outside this one, I see I have only one
recourse.
Goodbye Stee. May my death be on your consience for all time. And to you
Shallam: You, i.e. the ruling Vizziers, ought to be ashamed of
yourselves! I am utterly disgusted with your decisions and related
actions!
So, this is it. This is the end. Anyone who wants my stuff can find it
North of Thera, free for the taking. Its not much, really. Just a couple
of tower shields, clothes, a shovel, and some scalemail.
Oh, all my gold too.
Well, goodbye Sapience. I almost enjoyed it here in this realm. I never
intend to return, in ANY incarnation.
