Graced healing

Greetings to all,

It has come to my attention, through a bittersweet lesson that, a graced
party can heal another. While I see this as no problem for said party to
be able to heal themselves while graced, I see it as a gross violation
of what being graced is all about to heal another that is engaged in
combat. I will be the first to admit up front, that I may be very wrong
in my stance on this topic, but if you will, allow me to demonstrate my
argument, by means of modeling these actions into fact rather than
argument and persuasiveness, perhaps my stance might better be
understood.

My understanding of Grace is that One -cannot- engage themselves into
combat, -nor- may they be engaged by another. If one wishes to engage
into combat they must first absolve grace by rejecting it, before they
may be enter into melee, or be forcibly entered into melee by another.
While I presume that most believe this to be fact, It is my observation
that this is not so.

To give example to my previous statement, I say to tell you this. If
someone is engaged into combat and you are just along for the ride, and
do not engage yourself into said melee, you -can- and are allowed to be
attacked, as you are a possible threat to the party being attacked, even
if this is -not- your intentions. This is known in the world of law as
Guilt by Association. Thus, if you are with someone and they perfom a
criminal act, such as murder, even though you had no prior knowledge of
this action was going to take place, you then can be tried AND convicted
as an accomplice to the crime, which in all reality, you had no way of
knowing was going to occur.

Now there is a way out of this, if you make an attempt through actions
of your own, be it verbal or physical, to stop the crime while still in
progress, you may be allowed a slightly lesser penalty, or even get off
from being charged at all, but if you stand there and witness the crime,
of a person that is -in- your party, or group, people have and will
continue to be convicted of the same crime, through Guilt by
association.

With this example I ask you this, If a party enters into a room, one
member of said party being graced, the other not, and the ungraced
person in the party, engages (him|her)self into combat through his
actions, or -is- engaged into combat as a result of his actions, should
the graced member be allowed to heal the member of their party that -is-
engaged into combat? It is my hopes that you take in guilt by
association, as IF said, ungraced person, perfoms and aggressive act,
that results into combat, could not the graced person also be seen as
giving said ungraced person aid into this melee, and also be (A.) made
to reject grace before being allowed to give aid to another that is
engaged into combat, because if a person is graced, they are not allowed
to engage, or be engaged into combat and (B.) be seen then as aggressive
towards -you-?

In giving aid to another, graced or not, be it a physical attack upon
your personage, or healing your opponent, the graced persons goals have
been now shown to be agressive towards you, through GUILT BY
ASSOCIATION, we may say that their goal has now become the same, to see
you dead, and should be viewed as if said graced person were attacking
you themself, even though they do not perfom a physcial act upon you,
their means to your end is still the same.

By way of reason, one could come to the assumption that this is not what
being graced was intended for. as said graced person is now engaging
themselves into combat with you and your party, while remaining safely
padded from harm, BY ANY MORTAL. I see this as gross misconduct, abuse
of a godly sanctity, and intentionally aiding and abbetting to the death
of another, while under this godly protection.

I beseach you, the Gods of Sapience, and ask if this is the way you will
allow your children to slaughter one another. I understand the Gods can
and will aid their followers in battle through the use of rites, and
shrines, but I humbly ask if this was the intention of gracing one of
your children, to allow them to aid an abbet the murder of another. As
well I ask you, people of Sapience, to beseach your GOD or GODS and
meditate upon this, asking for their wisdom on this matter to be handed
down to you, as to some explaination why they are allowing others of our
world to aid and abet the death of one of your own, while under thier
protection and sanctity we know as Grace.

I ask that you, the citizens of Sapience, to also beseach your God or
Gods, and humbly ask them to remove this abomination and abuse of their
Power and Greatness from the lands, so that no child of yours or theirs
may be slaughtered by another while under their Divine Grace, be it
action or inaction of the said graced party, aiding and abbeting another
is still a crime, and the intentions, to see your death, are still the
same as one not graced.

In closing, I have now given you one small example of Guilt by
association, through inaction, or rather action in aiding a member of
their party, while graced, by way of closing their wounds. In short I
will also give you a few other examples of guilt by association, that
-are- allowed by ungraced people......

You engage yourself into combat and you ask that a magi portal you out
of that location, now although the mage was not at the scene of the
crime, nor did he trade blows, you are now with him and should you
victim enter into the room, the portal now makes him a viable target as
he -did- give you, and engaged party aid, while in battle.

I believe that if you attacked said magi, it would be well within the PK
rules, as even though he did not attack you physically, by giving aid to
one who was engaged with you, they have technically now, engaged
themselves into the melee. They may not wish you harm, but they also
allowed escape to the criminal that did attack you. Through Guilt by
Association, this makes you a target of PK.

Again I humbly ask that all consider these words.

In Truth there is Honour,
In Honour there is Valour,
In Valour, there is Strength.
