the Gaian Tree

Bad timing, but as I write this, the Gaian Tree has been cycled to
Thoth's Bough. Gaia has expressed her wishes with regard to the regular
cycling of the Gaian Tree/Thoth's Bough in order to represent the cycle
of life and death. At the last Crossing, the necromancers and those like
yourself who support necromancy, refused Gaia's request that the Bough
be allowed to cycle back to the Gaian Tree. Therefore, some of her
followers, both of her order, and of the druid guild which she patrons,
actively worked to turn the Bough back to the Tree since the
necromancers refused her request. However, it does appear that devotion
users are a bit more receptive and respectful of Gaia's wishes and I
have seen few actively working that landmark. Therefore, there is really
no need for Gaia's followers to get involved with that landmark.

It is unfortunate to most of us of the forest that a symbol of Gaia has
been turned into a landmark, and, thus, her Temple turned into a killing
field during Ethian's Crossing. But Sarapis has seen fit that it remain
a landmark. As much as you don't like it, you are dealing with the
affections and loyalties of those of us who revere the Earthmother. We
would all rather that the landmark be replaced, but we must deal with
the reality. I trust that if devotion users make a strong push on the
Tree, you very well may see Gaians melting blackwaters on the Tree. And
trust me, that would gall the majority of us since it is necromancy that
has destroyed the forest at the behest of Lord Sartan.
