A walk in the Garden

Written by: Aegis, God of War

Addressed to: Eris, Goddess of Chaos

That was a bit odd. I shall start again.

We have known each other for generations. Indeed, I watched with
amusement already at the time you came to be. Time has changed Me little
in the passing of events. Is a God of War then stronger or weaker in his
resolve, when a young Goddess catches His attention?

Seldom has beauty been so strong of hand, and seldom is a dangerous
Goddess so alluring to converse with. Our recent walks in the Garden
have been most enchanting. Should you care to visit My mountain fortress
in the Vashnars, I would be honored to have My servants prepare a feast
for your pleasure. We have yet many things to talk about. Aside from a
few celani, we will be quite alone.
None on this world, or any other have held My attentions as you have in
recent weeks, for War has had little use for conquests of the female
persuasion. Yes, you have met My twins, Phobus and Deimus, but their
birth, or rather creation had little to do with sentiment. You wonderful
creature. You astound and enthrall, Eris of Chaos. Perhaps Gods do
change, and perhaps the fabric of reality with it. I know one thing
alone, and that is this: My most eminent crusade for this incarnation of
War will be to win your affections. And you know that I never give up.
I will be seeing you in the near future, My Lady of Change.
