I have never in my life seen a group of people who are dedicated to
fighting for what is right, forwarding the cause of justice, etc and etc
that so steadfastly not only refuse to accept any blame for ones actions
but to also throw the blame on others. So let me quickly summarize
again.

Key safely in Shallam
People read warning. Either do not communicate properly or Charlotte
wasn't listening.
Charlotte opens box.
Hashan burns in a huge towering inferno. Citizens killed, turned into
Satyrs, or both.
Hashan law states ignorance of the law no excuse.
Dresden uses office to ridicule Hashan laws and hides behind the good
citizens of Shallam while doing it.
Now. To me...and the vast majority of the lands I might add...this is
fairly cut and dry. There is nothing in here about plotting to make
someone "snap" there is nothing in here about the box being opened as an
act of terrorism. Charlotte murdered probably around 100 sentient
beings. Those with her were accomplices. How much more does this need to
be spelled out?
And Charlotte opening the box has very little to do with this war. It
was Dresden's acts as a ruler of Shallam that has caused this. She used
her position to try to avoid being found guilty. She is using you now to
avoid the ever increasing penalty that is stacking against her.
Remember, at one time we were only talking around 100k in money. No
enemy status. We'd just accept the apology, fine, and move on.
Now this last bit is for those like Mirudraas that continue to bring up
OOC excuses for what happened. It does not MATTER the reasoning behind
it. Since you like to play the IF game so much IF someone from Hashan
had opened it that person would have been hunted, killed, and enemied
for life. IF someone from Ashtan had opened it, it would now be Shallam
and Hashan in talks about going to war probably. And IF you nod your
head in agreement to both of those IFs, then why in the world are you
throwing up excuses for what Charlotte did? Now stop talking about
loaded crossbows, stop with trying to excuse it away. Bottom line. By
Hashan laws, Charlotte and her group broke the laws. Dresden sought to
get out of it. THATS why we are here. If you feel comfortable protecting
a woman who has brought you to this situation, then say so. Quit (insert
colorful expletive here) whining about the unjustness of it.
Oh, and do go ahead and enemy me. I stand against murderers, corrupt
politicians, and those who degrade my town. Apparently those that stand
against said things are now enemies of Shallam. Do remember that the
light is supposed to show you the way. Staring at it until you go blind
is not the point.
