Dear Citizens of Tasur'ke,
It has come to the attention of myself that many citizens of Shallam and
many members of my Church are forced to swallow vast humiliation and
accusations of misconduct for allegedly protecting your humble village
and her citizens from vicious self-driven beasts (aye, beasts, for they
are not worthy enough to be called people) who plunder your village, and
kill your women and children who have done nothing wrong.
For ages, citizens of your southern neighbor, the Dark City, have done
such heinous deeds to you and your family I have aforementioned. In
fact, I would not have written this letter to you all, had I not seen
the corpse of Constantine, your skilled jeweler, lying before my feet,
blood spilt everywhere. In disgust, I walked out of your village, only
to see more corpses littering the ground around me as I passed by-two
little village girls without cares but for the ocean surf of the
evening, never to smile again-a young woman and her entourage, all slain
as they were chattering and enjoying an afternoon chat, silenced and
sad. After watching such horrors, my heart sank in pity and disdain for
all your plagues.
As it is our to defend against such atrocities of cowardice and
dishonor, we beseech you to take a stand against oppression. We will
assist you, if only you ask. It is incomprehensible how you manage to
succumb to such blasphemy and outrage, and still keep your heads high
and hearts happy. Please, Constantine, speak out against this war waged
by Oppression to entangle you into their web of strife and torture!
Please citizens, ask for help so we may save you! You do not need to
suffer in the hands of those seeking pleasure from bloodshed and power.
You are all simple people, innocent and modest. Do not let yourselves be
tainted by black, cursed blood.
Sincerely,
Sir Brinn, Orator of Light
