Hypocrisy

In my years as an Archon in Ashtan, and now in my new role as Overseer,
I have watched closely as you have slain many of the innocent citizens
of Ashtan, for no apparent reason other than to satiate you undying
bloodlust. I have watched as your hypocrisy has chipped away any respect
that those in the realms may have had for you're your Holy Codex. I have
watched as you attempted to invade the City of Hashan.

Neither I, nor Ashtan will stand by idly to watch your unjust actions
any longer. You have used your position of power with Shallam for your
personal gains, and without regard for the welfare of your citizens too
long, oh Sultan of Shallam.

I hereby decree that Ashtan shall be joining Hashan in their efforts to
defend the realms against your tyranny. We will not relent until you are
no longer in a position to harm innocent citizens of Ashtan.

I would sympathize the lot your young citizens are now facing, as the
Seneschal of Hashan has, but alas I cannot. Shallam has placed you in
your position, where none seem willing or capable of even questioning
your actions or motives, and for this your city will pay the price. Your
actions, my dear, will now bring the full force of Ashtan and her armies
upon you.

I do hope that you and yours will put up a good fight, but as always, I
do not expect that we shall see one.

Lady Deven Lucoster

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Lupar, in the year 289 AF.
