The Chests

As a forethought, I did not read the entirety of Charlotte's post, for
it is early in the morning and I have just awakened from a deep slumber
amidst the comfort of my Grove.

Perhaps it could stand to be reasoned that, since Shakti opened the
first chest, which held destruction, that perhaps the second chest may
have held salvation. Perhaps that could have been a reason, and if so,
then Charlotte was certainly divided on the issue. The first destroyed
the Basilica. Perhaps the second may have restored it and returned it to
it's natural beauty and strength. Frankly, you can't use the excuse
`Well, you saw what the first one did! So, I mean, duh, the second one
would have most assuredly done the same thing!`. Not necessarily. Nobody
knew for an undeniable -fact- what the second chest would do. Had the
tables been turned, and if we were all honest with ourselves, every one
of us was just dying to open either one of the chest to see what it
would do. That is human (and Mhun and Rajamalan and Horkval and Xoran
and Grook and so forth and so on) nature. Obviously it was not
Charlotte's intention to harm anyone or anything. She was just the first
person to open the second chest.
Shakti cannot really be blamed in this either, for (correct me if I am
wrong), I doubt that anybody was told anything in the way of the
contents and reprocussions of opening the said chest. However. If you
blame Charlotte on the grounds that she should have guessed the outcome,
you must also blame Shakti on the grounds that she should have guessed
the outcome as well. If you blame one, you must blame the other. There
is no single crime comitted here/

Everyone's choices are half chance. Instead of concentrating on pointing
fingers on who is responsible, we should be working together to rebuild
the destroyed.

With the Light of the Moon,
Ostara
