It's really very simple.
When Charlotte opened the chest, she didn't know what would happen.
Assuming that she knew the possibility of destruction, it's safe to say
she wanted Ashtan to burn. If she hadn't opened the chest, somebody else
would hofe.
None of that makes her innocent. When she opened the chest, she accepted
the responsibilties for the results of that. She knew that the second
chest might destroy something else, but she still opened it.
It could hofe been unintentional that Hashan was destroyed, not Ashtan.
But, again, she didn't know what would happen, but she accepted the
responsibility for it.
If she hadn't opened it, Hashan still would hofe been destroyed. Maybe,
maybe not, but that's not worth debating. If Charlotte had murdered
someone, and then used the excuse that somebody else would hofe done it
if she hadn't, would that make her innocent?
Charlotte is guilty.
