As I read through the posts and listen to tales of recent mysterious
events, it seems to me as if storm clouds gather on the horizon.

If one can bear to follow the frustrating and mysterious chain of events
that have occured throughout the land, you can definately attest to the
fact that something is at work here. Whatever is at work in this lands
is something I believe no one could have ever dreamed of.

Phaestus, and Elder of the Garden was trapped by something. A God,
wielding everything His glorius power could bring to bear was trapped in
His -own- hammer. I myself remember reading over the mysterious scroll
which recounted the tale of Phaestus' awakening.

Pentharian a Divine one who unlike Lord Twilight, does not bask in the
art of deception to confuse His enemies, publically declared He felt
something moving throughout Our reality.

The Greatest Hunter in the Garden, Lupus, sensed this being and failed
to track it.

Both Divine Ones admitted that no being in our universe could -ever-
deceive their sensed save the mighty Logos Himself.

Dawn, the Lady of Light opened my eyes when she mentioned she feared
this being had power enough to rival the Creator of our reality Sarapis.

Combine these major events with all the smaller happenings throughout
Sapience and you -cannot- deny the fact that something is definately
amiss in our lives. Members of the Garden have encountered something
(yes these next words will be blasphemous) quite possibly more powerful
than themselves. Be it a work of magick that their memories have been
obliterated, or be it fear that has thrown Them into a state of denial,
we mortals are left alone at the mercy of whatever it may be.

Those of you who wish to dispute this conclusion can look at the facts.
-Phaestus was imprisoned in his own hammer despite his heroic defence of
Himself.
-Pentharian pursued this being and lost him in the ethers.
-Lupus pursued this being on all planes to no avail.
++NOTE++ The only thing more powerful than these two Gods combined would
be Sarapis.

-Syvelium - The beloved teacher of the paladin has been purged from the
hearts and minds of the Gods. Yet his belongings and desk still reside
in the church.

This can go on and on.

Something is out there, probing our universe, quite possibly testing Our
Gods, and much to our dismay, the Gods are either losing, or are doing
nothing to stop it (which would probably never happen, except maybe for
Lord Sartan). One thing is true, sometime in the near future, this being
could possibly present itself to us all, and we will be tested not as
Ashtan, or Shallam, but as mortals. Our Gods, quite possibly including
our Creator, could be tested. This being is of immense power on the
scale of Gods as shown by the Gods and Our inability to name it. As any
hunter knows you must know your prey, then you wait for the precise
moment in which everything is in your favour...and then you strike.

Calhoun

P.S. Due to my past transgressions and discussions with Sarapis now
compiled with my 'blashphemous' statements, I will most likely be
watching the fun from trying to sneak a peak between my own leaves.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Glacian, in the year 287 AF.
