There is a question, with 3 possible answers:
(1) The minds of the gods have been tampered with (highly unlikely, but
impossible?)
(2) The minds of all mortals tampered with? (more likely)
(3) No one's minds tampered with, the Gods are merely trying to protect
us as Ebonyeyes suggested.
(1) We cannot accept the word of the Divine that this is impossible, or
has not happened, because if it HAS happened, the gods would not be
aware of it, and would say that it has not happened.
(2) A highly probable answer
(3) Not very likely - the Divine, particularly Sarapis, are very
intelligent - they would know that acting all mysterious would NOT make
all of us simply discard the notion of the "other".
If (2) is the true answer, then we harm no one, we only waste our time,
by being concerned and talking etc.
If (1) Is the answer, and we fail to act - it could be the biggest
mistake of our lives. It is such a terrible possibility that we -cannot-
fail to act on the possibility.
A meeting of order leaders? No - a meeting of order representatives,
representing their orders against their patron's wishes. Is it
disrespect to do so? No - it is an expression of our intense love for
our patrons - The though of Father being in danger is such a terrible
thought (to me at least) that I would go agaisnt His wishes, so long as
doing so does not harm Him. And since at worst all it is is a waste of
-my- time...
Unless, of course...Ebonyeyes is correct. An interesting paradox, no?
