Having been enjoying the solitude of the remote regions of
Sapience, I find it, almost, amusing to return to yet another
debate causing consternation and dismay throughout our land. I
say almost, because this time, the battle lines are a little
unusual, and because it touches upon an issue close to my heart,
one that I had thought was long buried.
I refer of course to Syvelium. Whilst a somewhat lecherous man
in his earlier years (armour was the best preventative to his
somewhat free-roaming hands), he nevertheless is held with great
respect by myself, and many others who he trained. Very few were
those who I saw best him in combat during the long hours of training,
and the many years that followed. Agamemnon, Isildur, Pierce, all
Paladins of great reknown, and a testament to this man's skill.
Yet now, he is not only missing, but apparently forgotten. And more,
the Divine now claim he never existed. Further, they seem exceptionally
-paranoid- in their insistence that he nevere did. And, understandably,
one can see why, especially in Sarapis' case. To be the most powerful
being in the Universe, Lord of all Creation, and to suddenly find that
a large portion of the mortals in one sphere of that creation have a
memory that you do not. Unsettling indeed. I might expect more mortals
to bear witness to this were they a) not afraid, or b) blindly following
the Patrons lead.
To speak out now, involves risk for me. My own Patron has spoke against
this view, as has my Creator. But such an event as this cannot be left.
I would like to hear from Agatheis, He who was freed from his eons long
punishment at the freeing of Phaestus from His hammer. Many of the
Divinities have spoken, but I have not heard His voice in the chorus.
Why were you freed Lord, if not for your aid to Phaestus?
And to my Lord Creator, if you choose to end my existance for my
impertinence, I ask only that you take my memories unto thee, as you
have done in the past. And see with thine own eyes, the truth of them,
and the truth of Syveliums' existence. For then, even though I die,
will I know that in death, I may at least expose this other for what
it is.
