The Children of Phaestus

Written by: Phaestian Chancellor Duran LiatZhu of Parikan

In the beginning, we were soul-less creatures of volcanoes fathered by
the Smith God of Phaestus. Stout, bearded and always making items for
the Gods and for Rurin, Dwarfs became the best artisans, craftsmen, and
blacksmiths of all of Achaea. When the work was done for a day, They
were donned as the best drinkers around the fireplace.

With the addition of a soul from Proteus/Sarapis, our futures expanded.
Not only were we craftsmen, blacksmiths, and artisans, we suddenly
became the strong bodies of warriors. Usually wielding warhammers,
bastard swords, and battleaxes (Dwarven trademark), we also became one
of the best warrior races of the lands.

That is, until Daedalus' sacrifice during Thoth's Heart.

After the God of Balance's sacrifice, the Dwarfs dwindled to the near
few. The new influx of races grew and the original Dwarfs became small
because of the ability of reincarnation. Many chose Xoran or Rajamala or
Atavian of the hot, quick, & high-flying, than the strong bodies of
Dwarfs. After nearly 25 years since the dwindlings, Guiliaume
Kharak-Stormfist and Duran LiatZhu began work on the uniting of the
Dwarves.

Upon the 13th of Mayan, 285 AF, the clan named the Children of Phaestus
opened. We are here to unite new Dwarflings and old pure Dwarfs, sorry
no reincarnates. Old and new shall become one, New shall be taught the
history of Dwarven old, whilst Old shall be taught the future of Dwarven
new. We craft, we fight, we drink. Oh the drink, pass a flagon to the
Baron and his Chancellor when you enter and you'll get a Dwarven
welcome.

To join this wonderous gathering of brethren, please look for me Duran.

Penned by my hand on the 13th of Mayan, in the year 285 AF.
