Role-playing

Out of character, I should mention that "role-playing" also
involves a certain restraint when it comes to meta-discussions
about the nature of MUDs, and this one in general.

The same discussion could be had, in character, by changing it to
"Which guild has the strongest skills in the world?" and "Who has
the greatest skill?", without bringing in acronyms and outside references
that destroy Achaea's hard-built atmosphere.

If role-playing is a significant part of Achaea, we can serve it
best by doing exactly that-- speaking and acting with the knowledge
our characters possess, rather than the knowledge WE possess.

Now, back to your regularly scheduled meaningless bloodshed and mayhem
(and a very very small amount of in-role motivated bloodshed and
mayhem.)
