Xerimor-
I am impressed. This war is over. Both sides met the terms requested. We
can all go back to our somewhat less antagonizing "normal" lives. I am
impressed that, regardless, you can find no better way to express
yourself than through insult.
What have you to gain, Xerimor? Certainly not decency or respect. No,
you get the last word. "We won." Wow. Doesn't that feel great to say?
Don't you feel so much better thinking that? Doesn't that make
everything that has happened worth your while?
What you are doing is boasting, Xerimor. A boasting that serves only
yourself. I can guarantee you that not one Druid or Sentinal read your
post and thought to himself or herself, "I am so sorry I ever joined
this guild, because I am a coward."
Let us get something straight: Those who sacrificed themselves to Lord
Sartan did so willingly for something they love. They were not chosen.
There was no discussion. In fact, they were chastised for making such a
decision. They had faith in your Lord Sartan to keep His word at their
expense. Have you ever held enough compassion to do something like that,
Xerimor? Trust your enemy?
By posting against your foes after hostilities have ended, you have not
been evil. You have not been eloquent. You have been petty, in need of
self-assurance, in need of a public display of your own pride. If you
had not done so, someone else would have, eventually. You follow Lord
Sartan, yet you are nothing like Him. He is described as discreet.
Common. Mundane. The public, however, finds you and your fellows
boasting your latest exploits. You must let everyone know who is on top.
Realise here and now what you know inside to be true. Evil acts are
commited every day, more horrendous than this war. What makes them more
terrible? They are hidden. Hidden acts of terror. As a mortal who
follows Evil, you will never be satisfied with simply commiting the act.
You must let everyone know about it. Without your public outlet, your
pride would destroy you. You would fade, Xerimor, you and your brethren,
into discreet people. Mundane people.
That terrifies you, doesn't it? Being common. Unnoticed.
Pathetic, Xerimor. Some champion you turned out to be.
Sincerly,
-Eternus D'Infinuum
